Join Vulcan County as a Land Use Planner, contributing to the growth of our vibrant southern Alberta community. This role focuses on land development, planning applications, and municipal legislation. As a Land Use Planner, you will play a key role in managing complex planning applications and providing guidance on subdivision and development processes.
You will prepare essential documents, deliver skilled advice to various stakeholders, and support sustainable community growth while adhering to legal frameworks and guidelines. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer land development control and policy initiatives
- Advise County Council and Municipal Planning Commission
- Complete accurate reviews of subdivision requests
- Process and review Land Use Bylaw amendments
- Collaborate with stakeholders on planning issues Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field
- Eligibility for membership with Alberta Professional Planners Institute
- Relevant municipal planning experience preferred
- Strong understanding of legislative frameworks
