Title: Library Supervisor - C.K.S.S.

Start Date: September 3, 2026 Position Type: Permanent Position Open To: Internal & External Applicants Posting Overview Reporting to the Principal, the Library Supervisor will supervise the operation of the school library, develop, organize and maintain library collections and provide advisory services for users. Qualifications/Experience Minimum post secondary education (diploma/degree); Library discipline is mandatory.

Skills & Knowledge Thorough knowledge and understanding of library practices and procedures;

Ability to effectively supervise, operate and maintain the school library, assist staff and students in all areas of providing library services (i.e. reference, technical, circulation services);

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students and staff;

Supervision of students in a library or similar setting;

Positive interaction as part of a school team;

Excellent leadership, organization and administrative skills to ensure the effective operation of the school library;

Proficiency with computers (i.e.

Follett Library

System, Internet, etc.);

Experience supervising the operation of a library is required.

Position Effective
