Position Title

Manager, Power Plant

Reporting To

Senior Manager, Technical Services

Position Summary

Oversee the Technical Services Power Plant function in accordance with company procedures and industry best practices to deliver the airline’s business goals. Reporting to the Senior Manager (Head of) Technical Services, the position holder will manage the performance, career development, and welfare of a team of technical services personnel. The position holder will also provide technical leadership over the Power Plant function and actively manage internal and external relationships in order to deliver assigned KPIs. Finally, ensuring regulatory compliance, safety, and airworthiness at all times is a non-negotiable within Malaysian Airlines CAMO, and the position holder will play an important role in this.

Key Accountabilities

- Be accountable for safety, airworthiness, and in-service reliability of the assigned specialisation
- Provide technical leadership over assigned function and be able to provide expert direction to the team
- Be the focal person and subject matter expert in the assigned function, able to competently and confidently represent MAB during engagements with national authorities,



MAB senior leaders, and vendors
- Be able to formulate vision for the future trajectory of the assigned function, taking into account evolving technical, regulatory, and business considerations
- Have a valuable level of commercial understanding in order to make judgements that optimise maintenance cost against operational reliability, within the context of a premium service airline
- Manage vendors to ensure service level agreements are adhered to and any performance matters are addressed in a timely manner

Qualifications and Years of Experience

- Degree in engineering from an internationally recognised university is essential
- 10 years of working experience, including minimum 5 years of Technical Services experience

- Aircraft maintenance engineer background is desirable

Areas of Experience

- Must possess an understanding of company procedures.

- Must possess an understanding of Part-145 and Part-M.

Skill & Knowledge

- Ensuring timely support delivered to the highest quality
- Coordinating vendors
- Maintaining the team’s performance
