Position

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of aerospace systems and mechanical components.

Working alongside multidisciplinary engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams, you will transform concepts into production-ready designs while ensuring compliance with aerospace standards, certification requirements, and manufacturing best practices. Key Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical components and aerospace assemblies using SolidWorks.

Create and maintain detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, GD&T;, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Support product development from concept through prototype, testing, certification, and production.





Perform engineering calculations and basic structural, thermal, and mechanical analyses to support design decisions.

Prepare engineering documentation, specifications, test plans, technical reports, and design change documentation.

Participate in prototype builds, testing activities, and design validation while analyzing test results and implementing improvements.

Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Certification teams to ensure manufacturability and product performance.

Support root cause investigations, product improvements, and engineering change requests.

Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace regulations, engineering standards, and internal design procedures.

Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering processes and tools. Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Experience

5–7 years of mechanical design experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, or another high-tech manufacturing environment.

Strong proficiency with SolidWorks (3D modeling and drafting).

Experience creating detailed manufacturing drawings and Bills of Materials.





Good understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and product development.

Experience working within cross-functional engineering teams.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience designing certified aerospace products.

Familiarity with FEA or engineering analysis tools.

Knowledge of aerospace certification requirements (FAA, TCCA, or EASA).

Experience with ERP and Product Data Management (PDM/PLM) systems.

Experience supporting products throughout their full lifecycle, from design through production.
