IREN is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations of Mechanics and HVAC Technicians, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable performance of critical data center mechanical systems. This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance for cooling systems, air handling units, exhaust fans,
and related infrastructure to support maximum uptime.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, hands-on leadership, and a commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement in a mission-critical environment.
Requirements
- Red Seal Certification as Heavy Duty Mechanic, or other related experience maintaining large diesel generators and HVAC units.
- 5+ years of mechanical or HVAC experience, preferably in mission‑critical environments such as data centers, industrial facilities, or large commercial buildings.
- 1–3 years of supervisory or team-lead experience.
- Robust understanding of HVAC, cooling systems, and mechanical infrastructure.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
- Proficiency with maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in fast‑paced environments with shifting priorities.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
