- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and regulatory policies, and practices
- Ensure safe, efficient and consistent operation and maintenance of equipment and processes
- Understand and perform safety responsibilities such as hazard identification, equipment lockout and emergency response
- Inspect and repair mechanical equipment and industrial machinery
- Perform preventive maintenance procedures, to minimize downtime and maintenance costs, and manage equipment efficiencies
- Perform downtime repair work; troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, identify opportunities for optimization
- Prior experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment and PLC controlled machinery
- Ensure that all work completed meets regulatory guidelines, manufacturers’ specifications and internal maintenance procedures
- Knowledge and experience in reading electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics
- Interpret, complete and record work orders
- Maintain proper documentation including logs, maintenance records, safety and environment reports
Qualifications:
- Our ideal candidate will :
- Have completed 1-3 years of their required hours towards their Apprenticeship
- Have ideally completed their required in class education towards the Millwright Mechanic 443A.
- Actively registered with the Ministry's College of Trades.
- Comfortable working Day and Night shifts – 8 to 12 hour shifts
- Previous experience of using computer software applicable to maintenance operations
- Demonstrated analytical skills
