Mobile Developer
Position Overview
We are seeking a Mobile Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience building native mobile applications using technologies such as Swift, Objective-C, Java, Kotlin, and/or Flutter, along with a strong understanding of mobile architecture, testing methodologies, and API integrations.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week onsite in Toronto, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and QA teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and user-friendly mobile solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for iOS and/or Android platforms.
- Build and enhance application features using Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, Java, and/or Flutter.
- Integrate mobile applications with SOAP and RESTful web services.
- Develop and execute unit tests to ensure application quality, stability, and maintainability.
- Apply up-to-date mobile design patterns and architectural best practices.
- Manage application dependencies using tools such as CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager, Maven, and Artifactory.
- Monitor application performance, code quality, and code coverage metrics.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience developing and supporting mobile applications for iOS and/or Android platforms.
- Proficiency with one or more of the following:
- Swift
- Objective-C
- Kotlin
- Java
- Flutter
- Strong understanding of mobile design patterns and application architecture.
- Experience integrating mobile applications with SOAP and RESTful services.
- Hands-on experience with unit testing and automated testing practices.
- Experience with dependency management tools such as CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager, Maven, or Artifactory.
- Familiarity with code coverage, application monitoring, and performance optimization tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing across both iOS and Android platforms.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for mobile application delivery.
- Experience publishing and maintaining applications in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
