We are looking for a Software Developer (PL/SQL) to join one of our clients, a major corporate investment bank based in Montreal, for a strategic Finance & Risk Systems initiative — the UniData Shared Data Ecosystem program, aimed at supporting Finance and Risk reporting needs across the Americas.
Position
Overview The Software Developer is a technical role embedded within the Finance & Risk Systems Shared Data Ecosystem project team. The developer will directly support the deployment of the UniData project by delivering PL/SQL developments that enable new application functionalities, inter-layer data movements, and multi-tenant database compatibility. The role also covers ETL orchestration via JIL (AutoSys) and requires the ability to collaborate effectively with team members across different time zones and locations .
Key Responsibilities
PL/SQL Development
Design and implement PL/SQL developments to build new functionalities within the application
Develop PL/SQL scripts to enable data movement between application layers
Optimize and modify existing PL/SQL code to ensure compatibility with a multi-tenant database environment
Conduct code reviews and performance tuning on high-volume transactional databases
ETL Orchestration
Develop JIL scripts (AutoSys) to orchestrate ETL tasks in accordance with application guidelines and standards
Ensure all ETL jobs are properly sequenced, monitored, and documented Collaboration & Documentation
Work with team members located in different time zones, receiving and interpreting instructions asynchronously
Document code, stored procedures, and design artefacts to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer
Use version control (Git/SVN) and issue-tracking systems (JIRA, HP ALM) throughout the development lifecycle Qualifications & Technical Skills
Technical Skills
Minimum 5 years of hands-on PL/SQL development, including advanced query optimization, complex stored procedure design, and performance tuning of high-volume transactional databases
Solid experience with multi-tenant Oracle database environments
Experience with ETL orchestration tools, specifically JIL/AutoSys
Proficiency in version control tools (Git or SVN)
Familiarity with issue-tracking systems such as JIRA and/or HP ALM Knowledge of application layered architectures and data flow design Behavioral Competencies

Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate or higher Any relevant data engineering or ETL certification is a plus Experience
Minimum 5 years of PL/SQL development experience in a production workplace
Prior experience in financial services, banking, or regulated industries strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience contributing to large-scale data platform or data migration projects
Experience working in distributed Agile teams with remote collaboration tools
Exposure to Finance or Risk reporting data models is an asset
