Position Overview The National Director of Communications leads TYC’s communications strategy and helps build a strong, consistent public presence for the organization. This role is responsible for managing national messaging, social media, branding, and internal communications while working with chapters across Canada.

Responsibilities Develop and manage TYC’s national communications strategy.

Oversee social media content, announcements, and campaigns.

Maintain TYC’s branding and ensure consistent messaging across all chapters.

Support provincial and local chapters with communications resources.

Create promotional materials, newsletters, and public statements.

Collaborate with the National Executive Team to promote TYC initiatives.

Lead and support members of the Communications Department.





Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with social media, marketing, or public relations is an asset.

Ability to work independently and manage projects.

Robust organizational and leadership skills.

Passion for youth leadership and community impact.

Age 13- 27 Additional Information Approximately 4–8 hours per week, including team meetings and organizational initiatives.

Reports to: Executive Director Supervises: Deputy Director of Communications, Communications team members, including content creators, designers, and communications volunteers.
