The National Research

Council seeks a proactive Intellectual Property Advisor to manage IP strategies and provide direction to the Client Agreements and Intellectual Property Branch. In this role, you will prepare and prosecute patent applications, guide researchers on IP protection, and manage contracts with external agents. The position also includes reviewing agreements related to licenses and team-oriented research. Key Responsibilities:

- Formulate and implement diverse IP protection strategies
- Manage patent application processes including PCT filings
- Provide strategic advice on IP options
- Negotiate and draft various agreements
- Oversee external contracts with patent agents Requirements:
- Degree in Science or Engineering required
- Registration as a Canadian Patent Agent
- At least 2-6 years of recent experience
- Strong initiative and communication skills
- Knowledge of licensing agreements an asset Bring your passion for intellectual property to NRC and make a significant impact.
