Role Description The Physiotherapy Technologist is a full-time, in office role based at AMS Medical & Rehabilitation Centre in Montreal, QC. The role involves supporting physiotherapists in the assessment and treatment of patients by preparing treatment areas and guiding patients through prescribed exercises and rehabilitation programs.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient responses to treatment, documenting clinical information accurately, and ensuring adherence to safety and infection control standards.

The Physiotherapy

Technologist collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care plans, educate patients on home exercise programs,



and contribute to ongoing improvement of clinical procedures. The role also involves assisting with appointment scheduling, maintaining equipment, and providing courteous, professional communication with patients, families, and insurance representatives.

Qualifications

- Formal training and certification as a Physiotherapy Technologist (or equivalent), with eligibility to practice in Quebec, member of the OPPQ.
- Experience assisting with physical assessments, therapeutic exercise programs, and use of rehabilitation equipment and modalities.
- Strong patient-care skills, including the ability to explain exercises clearly, motivate patients, and adapt support to diverse physical and cultural needs.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities for working within a multidisciplinary environment and coordinating with physicians, therapists, and administrative staff.
- Solid documentation and organizational skills, including accurate charting, time management, and attention to clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Comfort working with patients recovering from work-related and motor vehicle accidents, including familiarity with CNESST and SAAQ processes (or willingness to learn).
- Basic computer literacy for electronic health records, scheduling systems, and reporting; proficiency in both English and French is an asset.
- Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to ongoing learning and evidence-based rehabilitation practices.
