Position: Principal Solutions Architect (Azure & AWS | Pre-Sales & Delivery)

Kochasoft is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to lead enterprise cloud transformation engagements end-to-end from boardroom to production. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role for an exceptional architect who owns outcomes across the full engagement lifecycle: winning complex deals, designing scalable multi-cloud solutions, executing enterprise migrations, and building the technical practice. You operate independently on engagements ranging from €500K to €5M+ and bring the rare combination of genuine pre-sales credibility and hands-on delivery excellence.

As Kochasoft's senior technical authority on cloud architecture, you will work directly with C-suite buyers and enterprise technology leaders to position, design, and deliver transformational Azure and AWS solutions. You shape commercial models, lead proof-of-concept validations, and close deals where technical credibility is the deciding factor then you stay to ensure flawless delivery, production readiness, and client satisfaction. This role suits someone who gets bored doing only design or only sales you need both to stay engaged.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Pre-Sales & Revenue Generation

Own discovery, qualification, and technical positioning for enterprise cloud transformation prospects (€500K– €5M+ engagements)

Present technical solutions to C-suite buyers, articulating business value, risk mitigation, and return on investment

Lead proof-of-concept design, technical validation, and competitive differentiation during sales cycles

Shape commercial models including scoping, resource planning, pricing, and engagement structure

Drive account strategy and identify expansion opportunities within existing client relationships

Author RFP/RFI responses, technical proposals, and statements of work that win on technical merit

Close deals where technical credibility and solution authority are the deciding factors Solution Design & Architecture

Design end-to-end cloud and hybrid solutions across Azure and AWS for complex enterprise environments, including landing zones, networking, security, identity, and application modernization

Lead technical discovery workshops with prospects and clients, translating business requirements into scalable, cost-optimized architectures

Develop reference architectures, solution blueprints, and migration roadmaps aligned to Microsoft and AWS Well-Architected Frameworks

Evaluate emerging cloud services, AI/ML capabilities, and platform innovations, recommending solutions optimized for business outcomes not just technical elegance

Document architecture decisions,



design rationale, and technical trade-offs clearly for both technical teams and business stakeholders

Design zero-trust security architectures and ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and industry-specific regulatory requirements Execution & Delivery

Lead professional services engagements end-to-end: own delivery quality, timeline, budget adherence, and stakeholder satisfaction

Execute enterprise cloud migrations assessment, planning, implementation, testing, and production cutover across infrastructure, applications, and data workloads

Deploy and configure cloud infrastructure, platform services, and integrations; troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across Azure and AWS environments

Implement infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and automated provisioning to ensure repeatable, governed deployments

Own technical handover to managed services teams; ensure operational runbooks, monitoring, alerting, and knowledge transfer are complete

Manage multiple concurrent engagements, balancing priorities and stakeholder expectations without dropping quality or timelines Practice & Team Leadership

Mentor Solutions Architects, Cloud Engineers, and delivery consultants on architecture best practices, delivery excellence, and client engagement

Define and maintain architectural standards, governance frameworks, and design review processes for Kochasoft's cloud practice

Build and maintain strategic relationships with Microsoft and AWS partner teams; leverage partner programs to support deal execution and client outcomes

Represent Kochasoft externally through thought leadership — whitepapers, case studies, conference speaking, and industry events that build market credibility

Drive continuous improvement of Kochasoft's delivery methodology, accelerators, and reusable solution assets

Drive practice growth by shaping hiring strategy, evaluating senior technical talent, and onboarding recent architects into Kochasoft's delivery standards REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Must Have

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field equivalent professional experience may substitute

15+ years of experience in cloud architecture, enterprise solutions design, infrastructure leadership, or technical consulting





Hands-on Azure expertise (8+ years): compute, networking, security, identity (Entra ID), databases, managed services, and hybrid architectures including Azure Arc and ExpressRoute

Hands-on AWS experience (5+ years): EC2, RDS, VPC, Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, CloudFormation, and equivalent core services

Proven track record closing enterprise cloud deals (€1M+) in a pre-sales, solutions architect, or technical sales capacity

Led 4+ major cloud migrations or transformations from assessment through production cutover, including infrastructure, application, and data workloads

Designed and deployed complex multi-tier architectures spanning applications, infrastructure, data platforms, and integrations across Azure and AWS

Deep expertise in cloud security, zero-trust networking, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2) not just awareness, but hands-on implementation

Demonstrated track record mentoring and developing architects and engineers in a consulting or professional services environment

Exceptional communication and presentation skills comfortable moving between strategic boardroom conversations and hands-on technical troubleshooting Technical Stack:

Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (AZ-305)

AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification

Experience with SAP workloads on cloud (HANA, S/4HANA) or enterprise ERP migrations

Prior experience at a consulting firm, systems integrator, or managed services provider you understand the commercial model

Experience building or scaling a cloud architecture practice hiring, defining service lines, growing revenue

FinOps Foundation certification or hands-on cloud cost optimization and governance experience

Experience with AI/ML workloads, Azure OpenAI Service, or AWS SageMaker

Thought leadership: published articles, conference speaking, or industry recognition
