POSITION SUMMARY

CHEO’s Integrated Treatment Centre will improve care and increase access to services for kids and youth living with complex medical, developmental, behavioural or mental health needs. The new 6-storey building will be located on CHEO’s main campus and will be connected by a link to the main hospital. Building a new integrated treatment centre also provides us with a unique opportunity - to reimagine and innovate how CHEO provides care to children and youth with these complex needs.

We are developing a new model of care for these kids, one that will create an integrated, consistent and coordinated approach to care for each individual child and youth. We will continuously evaluate the care we provide and adapt along the way to achieve the outcomes that are most important to families. Clinical research will be woven throughout, so that how we provide this care will be evidence-informed.

The Project

Coordinator contributes to the development, implementation, evaluation and on-going coordination of activities related to the Integrated Treatment Centre project needs, with a focus on framework development and engagement strategy. The incumbent will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in supporting project management and coordination activities including excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), project development, project implementation, project monitoring, project budget development/ management, communications, quality, risk and evaluation.

Assist the project team in the integration and coordination of the project to create consistent, coherent documentation used to guide both project execution and project control





Coordinate changes across the entire project

Develop project schedules including identifying activities to produce project deliverables, identifying dependencies, number of work periods, analyzing activity sequences, activity durations, and resource requirements

Assist in the development of all required project documentation.

Work with project team to evaluate project performance, monitor specific project results and identify ways to eliminate causes of unsatisfactory performance.

Work with the project team to identify, document, and assign project roles, responsibilities, and reporting relationships for the human resources for the projects.

Act as a supporting resource including outlining requirement documents, performing data pulls, creating reports, and performing data integration tasks.

Determine the information and communications needed by the stakeholders and ensure needed information is available to project stakeholders in a timely manner.

Collect and disseminate project documentation (e.g., status reporting, progress measurement, and forecasting).

Assist in the assessment and implementation of risk analysis activities and mitigation strategies for the project.





Ensure that team members are provided with and use the appropriate procedures, equipment and material to perform assigned duties.

Provide support to Program Manager as required

Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS

University Degree in a health-related field (Preferred)

Minimum three (3) years of related experience (Essential)

Project Coordination experience (Essential)

Project Management Certification (Preferred)

Experience working with clinical teams an asset (though clinical experience itself is not necessary)

Demonstrated experience in leading and executing planning initiatives and/or projects across clinical teams, various stakeholders and/or organizations (Essential)

Robust interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills (Essential)

Computer literacy with project software (i.e.

Microsoft

Project) (Essential)

Self-directed with the advanced ability to plan, organize and prioritize projects according to priority, and ability to ask questions and to identify difficulties in meeting deadlines (Essential)

Criminal Record Check (Essential)
