Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Puppet Engineer to support infrastructure automation, server configuration management, and platform operations. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated infrastructure solutions using Puppet while ensuring system stability, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance Puppet modules, manifests, and automation workflows.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for server provisioning and configuration management.
Manage Linux/Unix server configurations and automate repetitive operational tasks.
Support INTEX platform administration, configuration, and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, application, and security teams.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot automation-related issues.
Ensure compliance, patch management, and configuration standardization across environments.
Support CI/CD integration for automated deployments.
Create technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
Required Skills
Solid hands-on experience with Puppet Enterprise/Open-Source Puppet.
Experience with Linux/Unix administration.
Scripting knowledge in Shell, Python, or Perl.
Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.
Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and automation frameworks.
Familiarity with server provisioning, patching, and configuration management.
Knowledge of networking, security, and system monitoring tools.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Experience in large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments.
ITIL process knowledge.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Puppet certification is an added advantage.
