Python Engineer

Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Python Engineer to join a leading global financial services organization. This is an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise-scale applications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and build high-performance solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and services.
- Build scalable APIs and backend systems using modern Python frameworks.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases to develop robust data solutions.
- Support deployment activities and production issue resolution as needed.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in Python development.
- Strong knowledge of Python programming and object-oriented design principles.




- Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
- Experience working with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle).
- Knowledge of Git and modern software development practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of financial services or enterprise application development is an asset.
