Neutron Factory Works is seeking a skilled and motivated Red Seal Millwright to join our team. This position involves troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining industrial equipment at manufacturing and food processing facilities throughout the Lower Mainland.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys solving complex equipment issues, and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. This role offers a diverse mix of emergency breakdowns, preventative maintenance, equipment upgrades, installations, and custom projects, providing excellent opportunities for professional growth within a growing industrial maintenance company.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and production equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections to maximize equipment reliability.
- Install, commission, and align new machinery, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and mechanical systems.
- Respond to customer service calls and perform on-site repairs in industrial and manufacturing facilities.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
- Perform precision alignment, bearing replacement, conveyor repairs, and mechanical system adjustments.
- Work alongside electricians, gas fitters, welders, and automation technicians on equipment upgrades and capital projects.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend long-term corrective solutions.
- Fabricate or modify equipment components when required.
- Maintain detailed service reports, repair documentation, and preventative maintenance records.
- Ensure all work is completed safely while complying with company policies and customer safety requirements.
- Build strong relationships with customers through professional communication and quality workmanship.
Qualifications & Skills
- Red Seal Journeyman Millwright certification required.
- Experience working in industrial manufacturing, food processing, or production environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills on rotating equipment and mechanical systems.
- Experience installing, repairing, and maintaining pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, bearings, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.
- Welding and fabrication experience is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance practices.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with the ability to travel to customer sites throughout the Lower Mainland with a provided work van.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
- Physical ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and perform demanding industrial work.

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
