Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for leading commercial growth across the Northeastern United States and Canada by developing high-performing teams, strengthening customer relationships, and driving profitable sales of pumps, parts, services, and engineered solutions.
This role serves as a business leader, coach, and customer advocate, working closely with sales, engineering, operations, and product teams to identify opportunities, solve complex customer challenges, and deliver sustainable growth. The successful candidate will combine solid commercial leadership with technical expertise to expand market share, develop talent, and execute strategic initiatives that support both regional and corporate objectives.

Lead and Develop the Sales Organization
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team focused on customer success, accountability, and business growth.
- Establish clear objectives, performance expectations, and development plans for team members.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and commercial excellence.
Drive Regional Growth Strategy
- Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with company growth objectives.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to increase market penetration, expand customer relationships, and grow revenue across pumps, parts, services, and solutions.
- Maintain a strong prospect pipeline and ensure effective execution of growth initiatives.
Strengthen Customer Relationships
- Develop trusted relationships with key customers, contractors, engineering firms, and channel partners.
- Understand customer operations, challenges, and strategic objectives to position value-added solutions.
- Partner with End User Sales teams to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term business growth.
Provide Technical and Commercial Leadership
- Leverage technical expertise to support complex applications, solution development, and business opportunities.
- Guide customers and internal teams in evaluating equipment, system improvements,
reliability initiatives, and lifecycle solutions.
- Balance technical requirements with commercial objectives to deliver competitive and profitable outcomes.
Develop Organizational Capability
- Support the growth and development of End User Sales professionals and Solutions Engineers through mentoring, coaching, and technical training.
- Enhance team capabilities in product applications, solution selling, value justification, and customer engagement.
- Promote best-practice sharing across the region and broader organization.
Collaborate Across Functions
- Work closely with Indirect Sales, Contractor Sales, Aftermarket Engineering, Operations, Application Engineering, Project Management, and Customer Support teams.
- Ensure alignment between customer requirements, operational execution, and business objectives.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to deliver exceptional customer experiences and business results.
Market Intelligence and Business Development
- Monitor industry trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and emerging market opportunities.
- Provide market insights that support strategic planning, product development, and business expansion initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen the company's competitive position and increase market share.
Performance Management
- Establish meaningful performance metrics and regularly review progress against business objectives.
- Utilize data, market insights, and customer feedback to refine strategies and improve results.
- Provide leadership with regular updates on regional performance, opportunities, risks, and strategic initiatives.
Position Requirements
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
- MBA or advanced business/technical certifications are advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing sales teams, or 10+ years of successful sales experience within the rotating equipment industry.
- Demonstrated success selling and supporting pumps, aftermarket parts, services, engineered systems, and reliability solutions.
- Strong understanding of centrifugal pump technology, industrial applications, and equipment lifecycle management.
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive sustainable business growth.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate market opportunities into actionable business strategies.
- Effective communicator capable of engaging executive, operational, and technical audiences.
- Experience working cross-functionally to deliver customer-focused solutions and achieve business objectives.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and standard business applications.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout North America (approximately 50%).

Equal Pay Act Range
Pay between $115,200 and $172,200. Pay will be based on experience and location.
