Position: Sales & Marketing Representative
Location: Ontario, Canada (Hybrid/Remote options available)
Reporting To: CEO
Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Sales & Marketing Representative who will play a critical role in driving business growth by generating qualified sales opportunities through marketing initiatives, outbound prospecting, and inbound lead qualification. Working closely with the Sales and Leadership teams, this role will help build brand awareness, nurture prospective clients, and identify organizations that can benefit from staffing, payroll, HR, Employer of Record (EOR), and Professional Employer Organization (PEO) solutions.
The successful candidate will collaborate across marketing and sales functions, manage lead generation activities, support campaign execution, maintain CRM accuracy, and contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes and client engagement strategies.
Roles and Responsibilities
Marketing Collaboration & Lead Generation
- Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to develop marketing campaigns and create engaging HR, payroll, and employment-related content.
- Support marketing initiatives through newsletters, website content, webinars, publications, and other digital channels to increase brand awareness and generate qualified leads.
- Follow up on marketing campaigns, webinars, networking events, and inbound inquiries to identify new business opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends and provide feedback on campaign performance, messaging effectiveness, and lead quality.
Business Development & Sales Prospecting
- Research and identify target organizations across Canada and internationally based on ideal client profiles.
- Execute outbound prospecting campaigns through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other business development channels.
- Engage HR leaders, business owners, executives, and decision-makers to identify opportunities for staffing, payroll, HR, and workforce solutions.
- Qualify prospective clients through discovery conversations using established sales qualification methodologies and schedule meetings for the sales team.
- Prepare briefing notes and ensure a smooth handoff of qualified opportunities to Account Executives.
CRM, Reporting & Sales Operations
- Maintain accurate records within CRM and marketing platforms,
ensuring all prospect and client activity is documented.
- Track outreach activity, lead progression, pipeline development, and conversion metrics.
- Meet or exceed monthly goals for qualified meetings, lead generation, and pipeline contribution.
- Collaborate with the sales team to improve sales processes, playbooks, templates, and CRM workflows that support business growth.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, lead generation, recruitment, or marketing.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, research, and consultative selling skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Experience using CRM platforms, sales engagement tools, Microsoft Office, and marketing technology.
- Knowledge of staffing, HR services, payroll, SaaS, Employer of Record (EOR), or Professional Employer Organization (PEO) solutions is considered an asset.
- Understanding of Canadian employment standards, payroll fundamentals, and international workforce solutions is considered an asset.
Salary: $60,000–$65,000 plus targeted bonus program.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM core hours. Flexible scheduling available.
