Job Summary

Join our dynamic security team as a Security Guard, where your vigilance and dedication will play a vital role in safeguarding our facilities, assets, and personnel. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance, access control, and incident response. Responsibilities

- Patrol the property on foot or by vehicle to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Control access points by verifying the credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security risks, hazards, or breaches, and respond promptly to incidents.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing, reporting, and responding to theft, vandalism, or suspicious activities.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, taking appropriate action and coordinating with law enforcement, fire departments, or emergency responders when required.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, patrol logs, and security records.
- Enforce company policies, site rules, and safety procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting employees, visitors,



and clients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and security concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements
- Previous experience in security services, law enforcement, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Strong observation skills with the ability to identify and respond to potential security risks.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to remain alert, professional, and calm under pressure during long shifts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for accurate reporting and effective interaction with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and patrol the site for extended periods.
- Valid BC Security Worker Licence (or ability to obtain one) is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record is an asset (if vehicle patrols are required).
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset but not mandatory.
