Senior C# Trading Systems Developer (eFX)

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior C# Trading Systems Developer to design, develop, and support high-performance electronic trading applications for the Foreign Exchange (eFX) business. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building low-latency, multithreaded trading systems, working with FIX protocol, and supporting front-office trading environments.

Mandatory Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on C#/.NET development experience

Strong experience developing electronic trading (eTrading/eFX) applications

Solid understanding of Foreign Exchange (FX) markets

Experience with FIX Protocol

Experience building low-latency, high-performance trading systems

Strong multithreading and concurrent programming skills

Experience with distributed systems and real-time messaging

Robust SQL and database design skills

Experience with Windows server applications and .NET ecosystem

Experience working directly with Front Office traders and business users

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Responsibilities

Design and develop high-performance C# trading applications

Enhance and support electronic FX trading platforms

Build low-latency components for pricing and execution

Develop FIX connectivity and integrations

Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability

Work closely with traders, quants, and business stakeholders

Troubleshoot production issues in trading systems

Participate in architecture, code reviews, and technical design

Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices

Experience with Broadway FX or similar eFX platforms

FX Pricing Engine or Order Management System (OMS) development

Algorithmic Trading, Market Making, or Order Routing

Market Data distribution and FIX connectivity

Kafka, Solace, or other messaging technologies

Prime Brokerage or Electronic Trading platforms

Front Office trading systems experience

Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes

Experience mentoring developers or leading technical initiatives
