Title – Senior Full Stack Engineer

Location – Remote in Canada

Contract - 6 - month contract with a high possibility of extension

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Engineer with 7+ years of professional development experience to join our core engineering team immediately. In this role, you will maintain scalable, high-performance web applications and serverless architectures, while also playing a critical role in production support.

The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in JavaScript/Node.js, hands-on experience designing complex workflows using AWS Step Functions and AWS Lambda, and strong database management skills using SQL. You should be comfortable working across the entire stack, from frontend interfaces to backend microservices, and thrive in a rapid-paced environment where system reliability and customer satisfaction are paramount.

This is a techno functional role where the candidate is responsible for leading a team, collaborating with BSAs and Scrum Masters to plan sprints, estimate stories and manage risks.

Key Responsibilities

Backend & Cloud Architecture

- Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable, and secure serverless microservices using Node.js and AWS Lambda.
- Orchestrate complex, multi-step business workflows and distributed applications using AWS Step Functions.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability within the AWS ecosystem.

Frontend Development

- Build responsive, high-performance, and visually appealing web interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React).
- Ensure seamless integration between frontend components and backend APIs.





Database & Performance

- Write optimized SQL queries.
- Manage and optimize relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) for speed, efficiency, and data integrity.

DevOps & Collaboration

- Hands-on with Git, GitHub Actions, Docker.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality software features.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce engineering best practices.

Technical Qualifications

- Core Language: Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+) and Node.js.
- AWS Ecosystem: In-depth, practical experience with AWS Lambda and AWS Step Functions is mandatory. Familiarity with other AWS services (API Gateway, S3, IAM, CloudWatch) is highly desirable.
- Databases: Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database management systems (RDBMS).
- Frontend: Experience with at least one modern frontend framework (React.js preferred).
- Tools & Practices: Proficiency with Git, RESTful APIs and CI/CD tools.

Soft Skills & Requirements

- Experience: 7+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
- Availability: Must be available to join immediately or within a maximum of 15 days.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure and resolve complex technical bottlenecks quickly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively and manage critical user communications and SLA timelines during incidents.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
