Senior Security Analyst(s) – Government of Saskatchewan

Location: Regina, Saskatchewan (100% On-site)

Client: Government of Saskatchewan – Cybersecurity & Risk Management (CSRM) Branch

Employment Type: Contract (2 Years + Optional 1-Year Extension)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST

Start Date: As early as August 24, 2026

About the Role

Upstaff Employment Services Inc. is seeking experienced Senior Security Analysts to support the Government of Saskatchewan's Cybersecurity & Risk Management (CSRM) Branch. This role is ideal for cybersecurity professionals with strong enterprise security operations experience, network security expertise, and incident response capabilities who are looking to work on large-scale government infrastructure.

This is a 100% on-site position in Regina, Saskatchewan, with no remote or hybrid work options.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and manage security incidents through ServiceNow in accordance with established incident response procedures.

Investigate network security events generated from firewalls, IDS/IPS, web proxies, VPNs, NAC, and other enterprise security solutions.

Analyze network traffic, packet captures, logs, and security alerts to detect threats and indicators of compromise.

Support the implementation, administration, and optimization of:

Firewalls

Network Access Control (NAC)

VPN solutions

Secure Remote Access

Network Segmentation

Review firewall rules, ACLs, routing paths, and security policies to identify vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.

Participate in cybersecurity investigations, threat containment, root cause analysis, and incident remediation.

Produce detailed security reports, incident documentation, risk assessments, and management metrics.





Coordinate phishing simulation campaigns and analyze user response metrics.

Process Privileged Access Management (PAM) requests through ServiceNow within SLA.

Collaborate closely with network, infrastructure, cloud, identity, application, and security operations teams.

Research emerging cyber threats and recommend security improvements across the enterprise.

Education

One of the following is required:

Degree or Diploma in

Cybersecurity

Computer Science

Information Systems

Network Engineering

Information Technology

OR

Equivalent practical industry experience.
