A career as a Senior SSI Trading Support Analyst in the Capital Markets Operations team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in OTC operations and payment processes. This role allows you to have a tangible impact on operational performance through your knowledge of the payments ecosystem, financial systems, and risk management.
On a daily basis, you are on the front line supporting clients, business lines, and internal partners by delivering a rigorous and efficient service. You contribute to continuous improvement by proposing ideas, automating processes, and supporting the evolution of practices. Alongside your team, you act as a guardian of processes in an environment that is constantly evolving.
Your role
Analyze, integrate, and validate payment instructions (SSIs) in Murex in collaboration with multiple internal partners
Manage and maintain SWIFT payment messages as well as amendments to instructions received from other institutions
Communicate with clients to confirm payment instructions and ensure compliance with internal procedures
Process requests in line with payment deadlines and currency cut-off times, while maintaining a high standard of quality
Identify operational risks, anticipate issues, and propose effective solutions to ensure compliance and business continuity
Contribute to the analysis of tools, systems, and process performance, and support their continuous improvement
Participate in the integration of current products, regulatory requirements, and technologies by actively supporting transformation initiatives

Prerequisites
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in capital markets operations and payments
Experience with financial systems such as Murex, SWIFT, ISM, Bloomberg, or Reuters
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related analytical tools
Strong knowledge of derivatives products and OTC operations
Proven experience solving issues related to complex financial transactions French is not required for candidates based in Toronto and Calgary
Languages: French, English
