Westrans Company is looking for an organized, customer-focused Service Writer to join our Service department. Our service shop specializes in heavy-duty truck and equipment repairs, and we’re looking for someone to be the first point of contact for our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

· Answering incoming calls and responding to service inquiries

· Preparing work orders and completing required safety documentation

· Create purchase orders and order parts as needed

· Preparing customer quotes and process returns

· Scheduling and coordinating service appointments

· Preparing and processing customer invoices and payments

· Gathering accurate information regarding repairs and parts needed

· Addressing customer concerns by investigating, resolving, and following up

· Communicating with technicians to ensure work is completed efficiently and customer expectations are met

· Assisting with daily tasks, and supporting the overall shop operations





Requirements:

· Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced environment

· Strong organizational, communication and customer service skills

· Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

· Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel

· Previous experience in the automotive or heavy-duty industry is considered an asset
