Elevate customer experience with Dialpad as a Staff Software Engineer. You will architect shared services that enhance developer productivity and improve security within the platform. As a key member of Dialpad’s engineering team, you will shape the roadmap for shared services and contribute to the architecture of reusable features.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Platform Engineering, this position allows you to work from our Vancouver or Kitchener offices. Your expertise in backend development and complex systems will drive operational excellence and efficiency across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Define a strategic 1-3 year roadmap for shared services
- Write explicit architectural design documents for team clarity
- Provide estimates on technical resource needs for projects
- Oversee execution of shared services platformization efforts
- Develop well-tested features ensuring low defect reports Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a backend-focused software engineer
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Strong grasp of distributed systems and debugging
- Proven mentoring abilities for junior engineers
