Job Summary And Requirements This competition is to fill 1 permanent full-time position working 80 hours biweekly This competition will also be used to fill Auxiliary on call positions. The primary purpose of the Student Supervisor role is to provide guidance and support for rural students living away from home. This team-based “home away from home” approach provides programming, mentorship, guidance, conflict resolution, academic supports, food preparation, custodial/office work and supervision of youth.

Through this “home-like” environment, the Student Supervisor provides diverse opportunities that promote intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development. The ideal candidate enjoys encouraging students’ well-being, supporting education, and has excellent empathy, conflict resolution, and communication skills. Qualifications Essential Qualifications Post-secondary coursework in Education, Social Sciences, Sports, Recreation or a related field Experience working with youth in a cross-cultural environment Experience planning, coordinating and implementing programs Experience providing supervision to youth Experience working directly with youth from Yukon communities would be an asset Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
