Based in Sudbury, ON, the Survey Technician will report to the Survey Crew Chief and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on conventional surveying services. You will be part of a team that provides a full range of traditional surveying services as well as construction monitoring, precision layout, and high-definition 3D laser scanning. This is an existing vacancy within the organization.

The wage range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00 hourly. What You’ll Do:

As part of the TULLOCH Geomatics team, you will:

Assist in the collection of field data using various survey instruments, levels, and GPS field equipment

Organize field equipment and supplies

Ensure all field equipment is accounted for and maintained in good working order

Demonstrate the essential skills related to the use of all field equipment used to perform job responsibilities

Clear away bush and trees from lines of a survey as needed

What You Should

Bring

The ideal candidate will have completed at least a two year college program in Survey Technician, Civil Engineering Technician or Technology, or have equivalent experience. Additionally, you should have:





At least 3 years experience working in the surveying field

Proficiency in the use of various survey instruments, calculators, levels, and GPS field equipment or have the aptitude to learn

High motivation with results-oriented focus

Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills

Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

Unwavering commitment to health and safety in the workplace A valid, Class G driver’s licence
