Role Description The Tile Installer role at Nexus Creations is a full-time, on-site position based in British Columbia, Canada.

The Tile

Installer will be responsible for preparing surfaces, measuring and cutting materials, and installing a variety of tiles to meet project specifications and design plans. Day-to-day tasks include laying tile for floors, walls, and feature areas, mixing and applying adhesives and grout, ensuring precise alignment and finishes, and performing clean-up and repair work as needed. The role also involves reading blueprints, collaborating with other team members and contractors,



maintaining tools and equipment, and following safety standards and quality guidelines on every job site.

Qualifications

- Experience with mosaics and decorative tiling, demonstrating robust attention to detail and design.
- Proficiency in ceramic tile installation for floors, walls, and feature surfaces.
- Skilled in general flooring installation, including preparation, leveling, and finishing.
- Hands-on experience with tiling techniques, including cutting, layout, and grout application.
- Ability to work with marble and other natural stone materials, including proper handling and installation.
- Knowledge of surface preparation, measurement, and use of tile-cutting tools and equipment.
- Understanding of construction safety practices and local building codes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret design plans and blueprints.
- Reliability, time management, and ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Previous experience as a tile installer or in a related construction trade; apprenticeship or relevant certifications are an asset.
