We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will be essential in supporting our logistics operations.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate Class 1 trucks to transport freight over long and short distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery logs, freight manifests, and inspection reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules




- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle safety and operational readiness
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling to prevent accidents or damage

Requirements

- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment used in loading/unloading processes
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road or at the yard
- Ability to handle freight securely using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, perform inspections, and operate machinery safely
