Responsibilities

- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods over short and long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure optimal safety and functionality
- Load and unload cargo with careful attention to securement, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery receipts for each trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to confirm delivery schedules and address any issues promptly




- Follow all safety protocols related to driving, cargo handling, and vehicle maintenance
- Assist with basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure

Experience

- Proven experience as a skilled truck driver or in a similar driving role involving heavy lifting and cargo handling
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle type being operated
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and manual cargo handling
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to transportation, cargo securement, and vehicle maintenance
