- Medicine - 3D Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Standard Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Physician Assistant Degree $51.102 to $62.5 Travel Required: No Human Resources Exemption: No Job Description: Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalists who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician.

Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS.

License Certified with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants Membership and Licensure in positive standing with the CPSS as a Physician Assistant Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC; or Physician Assistant

- Certified (PA-C) through the NCCPA.

Valid Class 5 driver's license Eligible for registration with CPSS (for applicants outside of Saskatchewan).




Education Successful completion of a recognized accredited PA educational program or Completion of an accredited PA degree program recognized by PACCC Competencies Analytical skills

- Advanced Membership Canadian Association of Physician Assistants Experience Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset Knowledge and Abilities Commitment to a diverse, representative workforce and cultural safety Commitment to quality, safety, and improvement striving towards zero harm Committed to delivering on patient and family centred care Demonstrated written and spoken competence in English language Ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy Exemplifies ethical practices, professionalism and personal integrity Ability to work independently Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Other Information Valid driver's license, where required HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria Current ATLS Certification (Advanced Trauma Life Support), is an asset Standby may be required.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificate (ACLS) an asset Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (PALS) an asset May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives
