About the Role KOS is looking for an experienced Wireless Technician to join our growing technical team.

This is a hands-on field position that combines tower climbing and network infrastructure work with residential and commercial customer installations, maintenance, and service calls. The successful candidate will be comfortable working at significant heights, mechanically inclined, dependable, safety-focused, and confident interacting with customers.

This is ideal for someone based out of Kingston, Gananoque, Lansdowne, Lyndhurst, Mallorytown, Seeley’s Bay, the Charleston Lake area, Brockville, or other surrounding communities. What You’ll Do Climb and work safely at heights ranging from 20 to 300 feet on communications towers and rooftop structures.

Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade wireless network equipment on towers, rooftops, and other infrastructure.

Install and configure fixed wireless internet equipment at residential and commercial customer locations.

Mount and align antennas and radios, run and terminate cabling, and test signal strength and connectivity.





Complete service calls, equipment replacements, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.

Diagnose and resolve wireless, networking, hardware, and performance issues.

Assist with the continued expansion and improvement of the KOS wireless network.

Work closely with network operations and technical support staff to resolve more complex issues.

Communicate professionally with customers and clearly explain the work being completed.

Complete work orders, installation records, service notes, and other required documentation accurately and on time.

Operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment safely and responsibly.

Participate in on-call duties and occasionally work extended hours when required.

Required Qualifications A minimum of two years of skilled experience climbing and working at heights greater than 40 feet.

Demonstrated ability to safely climb and work on communications towers at heights of up to 300 feet.

Current High Angle Rescue and Fall Protection certifications (we will provide training).

Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving abstract.

Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.

Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ladders, climbing equipment, and testing equipment safely.

Ability to lift and carry 70 pounds or more.





Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a technical team.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience Considered an Asset Telecommunications, fixed wireless internet, networking, cable, satellite, electrical, tower, or construction experience.

Knowledge of IP networking, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and internet technologies.

Experience installing, terminating, and testing Ethernet and other communications cabling.

Experience troubleshooting wireless signal, interference, connectivity, and equipment issues.
