Senior Data Architect with Azure & Databricks to design and deliver an Application Modernization

Our client is seeking a SeniorData Architect t o help modernize the data architecture supporting a custom-built, business-critical enterprise application. Working alongside an experienced Solution Architect, you'll design scalable, cloud-based data solutions using Databricks, Azure, Azure Data Factory, and event-driven architecture.

1 year contract with strong possibility for extension and you must be willing to be in the office 5 days a week.

This is an opportunity to help modernize legacy data environments while working with a team-oriented team that embraces modern engineering practices, continuous improvement, and evolving Agile ways of working.

Must have:

- Experience architecting data solutions for enterprise applications
- Hands-on experience with Databricks
- Experience architecting data solutions in Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Azure Data Factory
- Experience designing event-driven data architectures
- Experience modernizing legacy applications or data environments

Nice to have:

- Experience with Azure Cosmos DB
- Experience working on enterprise application modernization initiatives
- Experience collaborating within Agile delivery teams




- Azure cloud certification (Data Engineer, Architect, or Cloud)

- Partner with the Solution Architect to design the data architecture supporting the modernized application.
- Design scalable, cloud-based data solutions using Databricks and Azure.
- Define data architecture patterns, integration approaches, and best practices.
- Design event-driven data solutions that support application modernization.
- Collaborate with developers and technical stakeholders to translate architecture into implementation.
- Contribute to the team's evolving Agile ways of working and continuous improvement.
