Berwick Home Hardware Building Centre located in Berwick in the Annapolis Valley is looking for a cashier to join our team.

Tasks pertinent to the Cashier position;

- Greet customers as they enter the store
- Acknowledge customers as they leave the store
- Ensure customers have a pleasant shopping experience
- Participate in promotional activities
- Operate cash register
- Balance cash and totals
- Confer with customer that they obtained everything they needed
- Scan items for goods and services provided
- Process transactions involving money; credit cards/debit cards
- Suggestive selling
- Participate in stocking shelves on truck arrival days, continual front facing and pull down of product from overstock




- Work putting up price changes and flyer tags when required
- Keep counter, cart, and foyer area swept and clean
- Answer incoming calls and direct to appropriate department
- Use price scanner, interact machine

While previous experience is not required it would be beneficial to the position.
