About the Role

The Heritage Tea Room is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Server & Kitchen Staff. This full-time term position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality food and beverages.

As part of our team, you'll help create a warm and welcoming experience for every guest while supporting the daily operations of the tea room.

Responsibilities

- Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive customer service.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and serve tea, coffee, and menu items according to established standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation and kitchen duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, kitchen, and service areas.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash and card transactions.




- Restock supplies and assist with opening and closing duties.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service is considered an asset.
- Friendly, professional, and positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Food Handler Certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain one).
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
