Jacob Bros Construction is immediately hiringa Heavy Duty Mechanic to support our shop and maintenance facility in South Surrey, BC.

Your Rewards:

Work 10-12/h days, 5-6 days per week

Earn overtime after8 hours per day, and double time after 12 hours per day

Requirements:

Interprovincial Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic trade certification

Valid Class 5 license with air brake endorsement required

Minimum of four (4) years' Red Seal certified experience

Minimum ten years experience

Welding experience an asset

Prior experience with Caterpillar, Hitachi, Deere, Komatsu equipment

CSTS certificate, First Aid and WHMIS certificate(s) are an asset

Responsibilities:

Repair and service Caterpillar, Hitachi, Deere, Komatsu equipment both in the shop and in the field

Diagnose, identify and repair problems, faults and malfunctions in structural, mechanical or hydraulic systems





Maintain and repair vehicles including but not limited to: earth moving equipment, trucks, trailers and tracked equipment

Use hand and power tools to repair and perform maintenance on equipment

Take direction from shop Foreman and work harmoniously with co-workers to ensure all repairs and tests are performed satisfactorily

Other duties as assigned
