Job Description

The Legal Counsel, Privacy & Compliance is responsible for providing legal advice and strategic counsel in support of Allstate Canada Group's Privacy and Compliance Programs. This role serves as a subject matter expert on privacy laws, regulatory requirements, consumer protection obligations, information governance, and emerging legal risks impacting the organization. The Legal Counsel, Privacy & Compliance partners closely with Compliance, Privacy, Risk Management, Information Security, Technology, Human Resources, and business leaders to ensure legal obligations are identified, assessed, and effectively incorporated into business processes. The role proactively identifies legal and regulatory developments, advises on privacy and compliance risks, and supports the implementation of programs that strengthen the effectiveness of ACG's regulatory compliance and privacy frameworks.
