ACCIONA is a global company, leading in the development of regenerative infrastructure that creates a positive impact on society. Our workforce consists of more than 65,000 professionals, present in more than 40 countries across the five continents, all contributing in our mission to design a better planet. Are you a passionate individual who wants to make a difference, promote sustainable development, and find solutions to the biggest global challenges including climate change, overpopulation, and water scarcity? Come and join us in building the infrastructure our planet needs to achieve a sustainable future.
We have successfully delivered large infrastructure projects across Canada since 2001. Our leadership and expertise span the entire value chain from research and development through construction, operation and maintenance of projects. Currently involved in some of Canada’s largest infrastructure projects, ACCIONA delivers solutions that contribute to the economic and social progress of the communities in which it operates.
ACCIONA is a global leader in sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy, delivering innovative, forward-thinking solutions in over 40 countries. We’re proud to be shaping some of the most complex and transformative infrastructure projects in North America.
In partnership with Metrolinx, ACCIONA is playing a key role in the design and construction of the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension (ECWE), a 9.2-kilometre westward addition to Toronto’s Line 5 light rail transit network. This major infrastructure project includes seven current stations and installation of rail and systems under a progressive design-build model.
Beyond its technical scope, the ECWE project represents a significant investment in sustainable urban mobility,
expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 5,800 tonnes annually and eliminate over 6.5 million vehicle trips each year when combined with the full Line 5.
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team on a complex, high-value project that supports long‑term regional growth and environmental sustainability.
The Electrical Construction Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of electrical infrastructure for one or more transit stations delivered by Trillium Rail Partners within a progressive design‑build environment.
The role ensures that station electrical systems—including power distribution, emergency power, lighting, grounding, communications interfaces, and traction power interfaces—are fully integrated into the broader rail and systems architecture including Stations, Rail & Systems (SRS), Traction Power Substations (TPSS), and Advanced Train Control (ATC) interfaces.
The position is accountable for technical coordination, electrical systems integration, constructability, and performance compliance from design development through commissioning and revenue service readiness.
Job Description Delivery, Leadership & Systems Integration
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of station electrical infrastructure including power distribution systems, lighting, emergency power systems, grounding and bonding, and electrical interfaces with station mechanical systems.
- Manage and mentor a team of project coordinators, field staff, consultants, and subcontractors responsible for electrical works.
- Ensure full integration of electrical infrastructure with line‑wide rail and systems including Stations, Rail & Systems (SRS), Traction Power Substations (TPSS), Emergency Exit Buildings (EEBs), and Advanced Train Control (ATC) handovers.
- Coordinate closely with mechanical, architectural, civil, structural, and rail systems teams to ensure electrical infrastructure is fully integrated into station design and construction.
- Manage electrical interfaces with mechanical systems including ventilation equipment, pumps, and fire life safety systems.
Technical Coordination & Oversight
- Coordinate electrical system design development through construction to ensure constructability and operational performance.
- Participate in multidisciplinary BIM coordination (Revit/Navisworks) to resolve spatial conflicts within constrained station environments.
- Review and coordinate electrical shop drawings, technical submissions, method statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Ensure compliance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code , Ontario Building Code , NFPA 130 , and project performance specifications.
Planning, Controls & Commercial Management
- Develop and monitor electrical construction schedules, budgets, forecasts, and risk registers aligned with overall station milestones.
- Support procurement and delivery of long‑lead electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, generators, and distribution panels.
- Review and manage variations, delay claims, and entitlement matters related to electrical scope and system interfaces.
