Join AIMCo as a Manager of Model Risk Oversight, a crucial role within our Risk Management team located in Edmonton or Calgary. This 8-month fixed-term position offers an opportunity to influence model risk management practices across the organization.
As a key member of our team, you will provide independent oversight, document and assess model risks, and ensure compliance with established governance standards. This role requires a combination of strong analytical and communication skills, and candidates should have experience in model validation or risk management to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective challenge of model risk management practices
- Maintain model inventories, ratings, and validation processes




- Monitor compliance with model risk policies and standards
- Prepare assessments and findings for various stakeholders
- Support enhancements to AIMCo’s model risk framework
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
- 5+ years of financial services experience
- Excellent communication and quantitative skills
- Experience with R and SQL considered an asset
- Robust attention to detail and integrity
