Supply Chain Professional

Location: Vernon, BC (Hybrid)

Duration: 12-Month Contract

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Supply Chain Skilled to support one of British Columbia's largest utility providers. This is an excellent opportunity for a supply chain skilled with sourcing and procurement experience to contribute to the delivery of critical infrastructure projects while working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams.

In this role, you'll help execute sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, coordinate material releases, and support procurement activities that ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

- Support the development and execution of sourcing and category management strategies.
- Lead or support sourcing activities, including RFPs, supplier evaluations, contract negotiations, and contract administration.
- Coordinate material releases to support project schedules and operational requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and business partners.
- Monitor supplier performance and assist with resolving contract or supplier issues.
- Conduct supplier and market research to support sourcing decisions.
- Apply procurement best practices while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable procurement regulations.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and procurement documentation using Microsoft Office tools.
- Conduct periodic site visits to support inspections and material coordination activities.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of sourcing,



category management, procurement, or related supply chain experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience using SAP.
- Experience coordinating material releases.
- Experience supporting infrastructure, utilities, or capital projects.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement processes.
- Supply Chain Management or Project Management certification.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a willingness to conduct periodic site visits.

- Hybrid work arrangement based out of Vernon, BC.
