Secure a position as a Qualified Person Safety Officer (QPSP) in Manitoba, with a focus on mental health patient safety and security in urgent care environments.
As a Qualified Person Safety Officer, your responsibilities will center around providing a secure environment for vulnerable patients and assisting in mental health care delivery. Your training under Manitoba Health will equip you with essential skills for effective event de-escalation and patient protection. Key Responsibilities:
• Protect patients during high-risk mental health situations
• Execute event de-escalation strategies effectively




• Oversee individuals awaiting psychiatric evaluations
• Engage in routine training for ongoing certification
• Ensure high standards of communication with colleagues
Requirements:
• Minimum of 1 year in security-focused role required
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent essential
• Valid security license in Manitoba is mandatory
• Regular Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Clearance
• Robust decision-making under elevated stress
