Home Child Care Provider (NOC 44100)

Permanent, Full time assignment. Preferred start: As soon as possible.

Availability: Morning, Day, Evening shifts.

Work location: Employer’s or client’s home.

Transportation: Public transportation available.

Security and Safety: Criminal record check required.

Work conditions: Repetitive tasks in a non‑smoking environment.

Personal suitability: Reliability, initiative, organized, client focus, flexibility, judgment.

Responsibilities

- Assume full responsibility for the household in the parents’ absence.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Wash, iron and press clothing and linens.
- Bathe, dress and feed infants and children.




- Discipline children according to parents’ requested methods.
- Keep records of daily activities and health information.
- Maintain a secure and healthy environment.
- Organize activities such as games and outings.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
- Supervise and care for children.
- Tend to children’s emotional well‑being.
- Cook meals for the household.

Required skills

- Experience with infant and child care is an asset.
- Ability to manage household responsibilities.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and judgment skills.
