Mt. Seymour, located at 1700 Mt Seymour Road, North Vancouver, BC V7G 1L3, is currently recruiting fifteen (15) Full-Time Ski/Snowboard Instructors to join our Snow School team. This position is responsible for providing professional ski and snowboard instruction to guests of all ages and abilities while ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and educational experience. Instructors promote mountain safety, deliver lessons in accordance with industry teaching standards, and contribute to the efficient operation of the Snow School.
This is a full-time seasonal position, working 30–40 hours per week. The hourly wage ranges from $24.50 to $34.00 per hour, depending on certification and experience.

Our ideal candidate has a current CSIA, PSIC, or CASI certification, or an equivalent internationally recognized certification. Candidates with higher-level certifications and demonstrated instructional experience may be eligible for higher wages within the posted range. Candidates will have strong communication and customer service skills, solid skiing or snowboarding ability, and the ability to work safely and effectively in an outdoor winter environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Instruct individuals and groups in skiing and/or snowboarding using current CSIA, PSIC, or CASI teaching methodology.
- Assess guest ability and develop lesson plans appropriate to age, skill level, and learning objectives.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of guests throughout all lessons and activities.
- Teach and reinforce the Alpine Responsibility Code and protected skiing and snowboarding practices.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond professionally to guest questions and concerns.
- Monitor snow, weather, and terrain conditions to ensure lessons are conducted safely.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and lesson documentation using Snow School systems.
- Assist with lesson organization, guest meeting areas, class assignments, and operational support duties.
- Participate in mandatory staff training, certification updates, and safety meetings.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, fellow instructors, and other resort departments.
- Perform other related duties as required to support Snow School operations.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Current CSIA, PSIC, or CASI certification (or equivalent internationally recognized certification); higher-level certifications are considered an asset.
- Demonstrated advanced skiing or snowboarding ability.
- Previous instructional, coaching, or teaching experience is an asset.
- Experience working with children is an asset.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to ski or snowboard for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to stand and work outdoors in varying winter weather conditions for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
