Elevate patient care as a Clinical Pharmacist with Nova Scotia Health in Colchester East Hants Health Centre. Ensure safe drug therapy, oversee drug distribution, and provide educational programs.
This casual, full time role reports to the Manager of Clinical Pharmacy Services. You'll utilize your expertise to supervise pharmacy staff, conduct drug regimen reviews, and deliver medication teaching. Participation in medical rounds and making therapeutic recommendations as part of the medical team are integral to this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee inpatient and outpatient drug distribution systems
• Conduct comprehensive medication reviews and reconciliation
• Provide pharmacokinetic monitoring and patient education
• Participate actively in medical rounds and discharge counseling
• Support training for Pharmacy Students and staff
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required
• Completion of a Pharmacy Residency Program preferred
• Minimum two years clinical experience in hospital pharmacy
• Registration eligibility with NSPR required
• BLS certification and strong drug knowledge needed
