Quality Assurance Engineer, Associate

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer, Associate to join our Newmarket, Canada team! As a Quality Assurance Engineer, Associate at the Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Canada Newmarket location, you will develop, implement and maintains quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into finished products for projects related to the nuclear industry, which is a highly regulated industry. You are familiar with planning, implementing, and managing compliance of production processes with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution. You will be responsible for the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products. You must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You will play a vital role within the assigned business segment supporting project schedules and customer deliverables. You will work in a team environment with the support and guidance of management. You will be responsible for completing project assignments in conformance with company procedures and policies to comply with customer specifications and industry standards. This position requires interaction with customers, suppliers, operations, and sales to support both domestic and international products and services.

Location: Newmarket, Canada Salary: $67,900 to $80,000 Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in Ontario. Your Challenge

- Must assure compliance to CWNC Quality Management System, Customer purchase orders, specifications and industry standards.
- Prepare and provide product quality assurance documentation as required by customer programs and the quality management system.
- Review and approve Quality Verification Documents.
- Review and evaluate nonconformances, develop and implement corrective action as needed.
- Perform vendor source inspection activities.
- Participates in and support customer and vendor audits.
- Perform inspections on safety related components and systems.
- Ability to follow and create work instructions.
- Time management, multi-tasking, and communicating daily.
- Work as a team member and participate in activities to improve operations and the facility.




- Understand the workload and provide support as needed to meet business objectives.
- Assists other personnel as required.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner at all times.

What You Bring

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Two (2) to Four (4) years of related experience
- Familiarity with any or all of the standards below preferred:
- CSA N299 Quality assurance program requirements for the supply of items and services for nuclear power plants
- CSA N285 General requirements for pressure-retaining systems and components in CANDU nuclear power plants/Material Standards for reactor components for CANDU nuclear power plants
- ASME NQA-1, Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear Facility Applications
- Familiarity with ASME Section III, Rules for Constructions of Nuclear Facility Components a plus.
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organization and communication (written and oral) skills.
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office experience
