About the Role
In accordance with Northern Health's vision, values, and person-centered approach to care, the Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmacy services to patients throughout the region. Working as a valued member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will:
- Assess patients and recommend individualized drug therapy treatments.
- Serve as a primary resource for drug information and education.
- Provide expert pharmaceutical advice and consultation to healthcare professionals.
- Monitor prescribing practices, medication distribution, and drug therapy to ensure safe, effective, rational, legal and economic use of drugs.
- Support quality patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.
- Maintain workload records, statistical data and professional documentation requirements.
Qualifications
- Current licensure with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
- Completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program or a combination of at least one year of hospital experience and advanced education courses.
- Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged.
