Reporting to the Executive Director within the Office of Research Services, the role encompasses managing a legal team and providing comprehensive guidance on research contracts, intellectual property issues, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure legal integrity in university research and associated funding initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and advise on legal issues for research agreements
• Negotiate terms with external collaborators and sponsors
• Assess legal risks and recommend mitigation strategies




• Prepare communication summaries for research agreements
• Conduct compliance sessions for internal stakeholders
Requirements:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial law
• Law degree preferred; additional certifications considered
• Demonstrated project management and leadership skills
• Robust understanding of research and privacy laws
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
