Welcome to Square One Medical Clinic!

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate medical assistant to join our well-established medical clinic in the heart of downtown Mississauga.

Responsibilities:

- Working closely with multiple board-certified physicians.
- Administer allergy shots, vitamin B12 injections, and other vaccinations.
- Administer baby's immunization under physician's supervision.
- Perform nursing procedures under the supervision of a physician.
- Assist physicians in exam rooms.
- Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and document all information in the patient2 s E-Chart.
- Prepare an E-Chart for the physician before the patient is seen.
- Update the physician before he/she sees the patient.
- Perform certain procedures, such as blood draws, and wart removal.
- Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls.




- Be able to direct patients who need urgent attention.
- Check medical supplies and vaccine inventory.
- Call patients with abnormal labs and determine a return-to-office plan for those who need urgent attention and those who can wait to be seen and those who can get treatment over the phone.

Knowledge:

- Healthcare field and medical specialty.
- Medical terminology.
- Grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Knowledge of working in an EMR setting.

Skills:

- Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette.
- Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow.
- The ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections.
- Knowledge of Oscar EMR is an asset.

Education:

- Medical background (nurse/doctor).
- Medical assistant certification (an asset).
- EMR training.
