Join the City of Belleville as a Wastewater Collections Locator. This critical position focuses on municipal infrastructure locates and leak detection in the Environmental Services Department.
In this temporary full time role, you will operate within a Level 3 Wastewater Collection System. Your primary duties include marking underground infrastructure, conducting leak detection, and maintaining documentation. This position also requires participation in a rotating on-call schedule to address emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Locate and mark underground infrastructure accurately
• Maintain records of locates and leak detection services
• Assist with the maintenance of wastewater systems
• Monitor and operate pumping stations effectively




• Communicate operational information with stakeholders
Requirements:
• Two-year post-secondary program in Civil or Construction Engineering
• Valid Wastewater Collection Class 2 License
• Class DZ Driver’s License with a clean record
• Minimum three years’ experience in a Large Municipal Wastewater System
• Proficiency in locates software and logbook management
