As an Underground Charge Up/Development Blaster reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will ensure the safe handling and use of explosives. Ideal candidates should have a High School Diploma and 2-5 years of underground mining experience, including a Blaster role. Responsibilities include assembling charges, loading explosives, and conducting inspections to maximize productivity and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Adhere to all mine site safety rules and procedures
• Assemble primer charges and load explosives in blast holes




• Operate and maintain blasting equipment for accurate results
• Conduct inspections before and after each blast
• Document detailed reports of work performed and equipment used
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years’ underground mining experience preferred
• Current Blasters Ticket in British Columbia
• Robust communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks
